PALma-archiduxe
A study in contrast, the apartment brings together the permanence of Palma’s historic architecture with a distinctly contemporary interior. Original details are not treated as decoration, but as part of the architecture: timber beams, wooden doors, shutters and generous ceiling heights remain visible throughout, grounding the renovation in the character of the building.
At approximately 91 m², the apartment is defined by an unusual sense of volume. Ceilings rise to 4.5 metres in places, giving the rooms a vertical quality that is balanced by a deliberately quiet palette of natural and tactile materials.
The main living space is arranged around a central fireplace and connects dining, kitchen and lounge into one continuous sequence. At either end, the apartment opens towards the city and the courtyard — a small balcony overlooking a leafy street on one side, and a private terrace of almost 10 m² on the other. These two outdoor spaces give the interior changing views, light and a sense of depth.
